The college is certified to ISO 9001:2000 standard by the National Board of Accreditation.  The college is affiliated to Anna University. The college  is ideally located on a sprawling 250 acre campus on the Rajiv Gandhi Salai – known as the ‘Cyber Corridor’ of Chennai. This institution was founded by Padma Bhushan Dr.Shiv Nadar, industrialist and philanthropist, the founder and chairman of HCL Technologies, a global IT Services company. The college offer B.tech courses and imparts quality education in the field of  engineering. The institution has constantly featured as one of the premier engineering institutes in Tamil Nadu and one of the best private engineering. The college  was ranked 38th in the list of top 75 engineering colleges in India by Outlook magazine in 2011.
